Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Commercial Project Manager to own the financials of assigned projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams across procurement, finance, logistics, and operations. You will manage revenue recognition, invoicing, and internal controls while supporting project managers in negotiations and strategy development.

The role requires a strong accounting background, 5+ years in CPM or project finance, and proficiency with SAP, Power BI, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting.
• 5+ years of hands-on CPM or project finance experience.
• GAAP and IFRS knowledge; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Power Query; SAP experience.
• Ability to handle complex accounting topics including revenue recognition and cash positions.
• Independent, multitasking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for all finance-related matters of assigned projects, including accounting, legal, tax, foreign currencies, revenue recognition, contractual invoicing, and internal controls.
• Financial execution of projects including creating sale orders and setting up project in SAP, revenue recognition, invoicing and payment terms, maintenance of project costs, securities, taxes, and insurance requirements
• Project Controlling, Forecasting and Reporting of financial status for portfolio of dedicated projects.
• Partner with Technical Project Manager in project steering /contract negotiations, accounting, development of strategies or solutions; support PMs to ensure project quality and targets (revenue, margin, SG&A, cash flow).
• Prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings, maintaining accuracy of all commercial project data throughout project execution.
