Job summary

Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in Neenah, WI seeks a Deputy Director of Finance, Administration and Retail Enterprise to own the museum's fiscal health, budgeting, audits, and earned revenue growth across the retail shop, studio, and exhibition programs. The role reports to the Executive Director and sits on the senior leadership team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Arts Administration or equivalent nonprofit experience.
• At least 5 years in financial management, preferably within a nonprofit, cultural, or museum environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual operating budget development, forecasting, cash management, endowment reporting, and grant compliance.
• Lead annual audit processes, maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets, and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Provide monthly financial reports to the Executive Director on financial results and projections.
• Support and supervise Visitor Services, Museum Shop, and Bookkeeping staff, and implement strategies to improve customer service and efficiency.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and enhance earned revenue across Shop, Studio, exhibitions, and outreach programs.
• Manage insurance policies and legal compliance.
• Align financial resources with the Museum’s long-term strategic goals.
