Henrico Education Foundation seeks a Finance Director to lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, grant management, internal controls, and policies. Reporting to the CEO, the role ensures GAAP-compliant, timely financial information aligned with donor and regulatory requirements.

The position leads annual audits, develops budgets and forecasts, supervises finance staff, and collaborates with Development and Programs to strengthen financial practices and support program success.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Seven+ years in nonprofit accounting or equivalent.
• Experience prepping GAAP-based financial statements and month/year-end closes.
• Experience with restricted funds, grants, and grant compliance.
• Experience coordinating external audits and working with auditors.
• Experience using Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT.

Aufgaben

• Lead accounting and financial-management activities for the Foundation’s mission.
• Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting with department leaders.
• Prepare GAAP-based statements, reports, and cash-flow analyses.
• Monitor liquidity and variances; present financial info to leadership and board.
• Supervise finance staff and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate annual audit and ensure regulatory and donor compliance.
