Job summary

The Henrico Education Foundation seeks a Finance Director to lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, grant management, internal controls, and policy development in support of its mission.

Reporting to the CEO, you will partner with Development and Programs to manage donor funds, supervise finance staff, oversee the annual audit, GAAP compliance, and prepare timely analyses and board-ready reports to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Lead GAAP-based financial statements and monthly close.
• Oversee grant accounting, restricted funds, and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting process and forecasting with department heads.
• Prepare timely GAAP-based statements and board reports.
• Supervise finance staff and ensure internal controls.
• Collaborate with Development and Programs on grants and donor funds.
• Support organizational decision-making with financial models.
