Job summary

Blue Ridge Automation seeks a Director of Finance to serve as the senior financial leader, reporting to the CEO. This hands-on role runs the books, close process, and builds systems and team to support growth.

Ideal candidate has 7–10 years in accounting/finance, CPA preferred, experience in service-based or project-driven environments, and a track record of strategic financial insights for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven GAAP knowledge and ability to prepare financial statements.
• Strong financial analysis and variance explanation skills.
• Experience leading finance teams in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial process improvements.
• Experience with project-based or service-driven accounting environments.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations and closing processes.
• Manage revenue recognition and project profitability monitoring.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Develop and present KPIs and financial insights to leadership.
• Coordinate audits, tax activities, and internal controls.
