Job summary

Inspired Flight Technologies, headquartered in San Luis Obispo, CA, seeks a Director of Finance to own planning, cost control, and accounting operations in a hands‑on, high growth setting.

You will partner with the executive team to turn financial insight into better decisions on production, purchasing, investment, and growth, while building a scalable finance function and mentoring the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Eight plus years of progressive finance experience, including leadership.
• Ability to build a three-statement financial model from scratch.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and cost accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Own financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Manage cash flow, costing, and productivity to protect margins.
• Oversee monthly close and internal controls; mentor accounting staff.
• Prepare reports for executives, investors, lenders, and the board.
• Collaborate with operations and ERP owner to improve data flow.
