Job summary

LMG Staffing Solutions, in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks a Director of Finance to lead financial operations, including government contract accounting and reporting. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership, cost accounting expertise, and collaboration with executive leadership to support growth.

The ideal candidate will have deep Deltek Costpoint experience, DCAA/FAR knowledge, and a background in manufacturing/distribution finance, with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Expert-level Deltek Costpoint experience.
• Extensive experience supporting government contractors.
• Strong knowledge of DCAA compliance, FAR regulations, indirect rate structures, and cost-plus accounting.
• Manufacturing/ distribution finance experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management, accounting, compliance, and reporting for the organization.
• Oversee Deltek Costpoint setup, project accounting, and system configuration.
• Manage government contract invoicing via WAWF, IPP, GSA, and other systems.
• Handle AR/AP, vendor payments, and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow, budgets, and forecasts.
• Support inventory accounting and manufacturing-related financial controls.
• Collaborate with Operations, PM, HR, and executives to monitor contracts and burn rates.
• Assist with internal controls and readiness for DCAA audits to GAAP/FAR compliance.
