Job summary

Hotel Emma seeks a senior financial leader to oversee the reporting function, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely, accurate financial statements. The role drives efficient month-end closes, strengthens internal controls, and partners with cross-functional teams to enhance data integrity and audit readiness.

With hotel-focused accounting experience, you will manage audits and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging ERP and reporting tools to boost automation and transparency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Knowledgeable of hotel accounting functions and systems.
• Branded and independent hotel experience preferred.
• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory role.
• Demonstrated expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
• Proven experience managing and improving month-end close processes in a complex environment.
• Strong understanding of data flows between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; leverage systems for automation.

Responsibilities

• GAAP compliance across accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to improve efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, consistency, and transparency.
• Establish controls over data flows and maintain audit trails for transactions.
• Lead external audits and internal reviews with timely documentation.
