Job summary

Katalyst Space is seeking a highly capable, hands-on Director of Finance to own the company’s full finance operating rhythm, including monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls. You will design scalable processes, partner with leadership, and build a finance function that scales with an early-stage, venture-backed business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across accounting, controllership, or related finance roles.
• Strong foundation in GAAP, financial reporting, close processes, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the finance function with scalable processes, controls, and reporting cadences.
• Own monthly close, reporting, variance analysis, and board-level reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and strategic finance decisions.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, AP/AR, and internal controls.
• Support audit readiness, tax compliance, and government contracting requirements.
