Job summary

Samsung Biologics in Rockville, MD seeks a Finance Director to provide strategic financial leadership for the site’s contract manufacturing operations. You will drive FP&A, budgeting, cost accounting, and capital investment analysis to improve margins and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a finance leadership role.
• Experience within biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO/CMO, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or other complex manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong background in FP&A, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and capital investment analysis.
• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing economics and GMP-regulated operations.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A activities for the site including AOP, forecasts, and long-range planning.
• Partner with Commercial and Business Development on pricing, profitability analysis, and financial modeling.
• Oversee product costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and cost accounting processes.
• Support technology transfer, scale-up programs, and client project financial performance.
• Analyze capacity utilization, manufacturing yields, and operational performance to improve margins.
• Develop ROI, NPV, and business case analyses for capital investments and expansions.
• Manage site budgets, operating expenses, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize inventory and working capital.
