Anduril Industries seeks a Finance Director for Fury to own financial strategy across R&D, flight test, production ramp, and fielded operations. You will partner with program managers and engineering leads, embedding finance to enable speed and guide proposals, while building the financial infrastructure for rapid scaling.
You will lead EACs, funding profiles, revenue recognition, and margin management across contracts, coordinating with Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting and Government
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
As Finance Director for Fury, you'll own the financial strategy, planning, and execution for a program that spans R&D, flight test, production ramp, and fielded operations — often simultaneously. You'll be a true partner to the program managers, engineering leads, and Autonomous Airpower's leadership team, translating technical and schedule realities into financial plans that enable speed rather than slow it down. This is not a back-office role — you'll be embedded with the program team, making real-time trade-off decisions, shaping proposals, and building the financial infrastructure for a program that's scaling rapidly under significant internal and external scrutiny.
In this role, you will serve as the senior financial leader for the Fury product and related programs, responsible for EACs, funding profiles, revenue recognition, and margin management across all active contracts and internal investments. Build and maintain program financial models that account for a fast-moving development timeline, production learning curves, and evolving customer requirements. Partner with program managers on monthly and quarterly reviews, variance analysis, and risk/opportunity identification — owning the narrative behind the numbers. Lead proposal pricing and cost volume development for new Fury contracts, including competitive bids, negotiations, and contract modifications. Stand up and mature earned value management (EVM) processes appropriate for the program's scale and contract types, balancing rigor with Anduril's pace. Coordinate with Anduril's Corporate Finance, FP&A, Accounting and Government Operations teams to ensure Fury's financials roll up cleanly and that program-level decisions align with company-level objectives. Recruit, develop, and lead a growing team of program finance analysts and cost estimators as the program scales.
The Autonomous Airpower business line, within Anduril’s Air Dominance & Strike division, is building the unmanned fighter jet Fury. Fury is a high-performance, software-defined combat aircraft designed to be produced at scale and operated in contested environments. The Fury product and related programs sit at the intersection of rapid hardware development, cutting-edge autonomy, and a production ramp that in many ways looks more like a tech product launch than a traditional defense acquisition. This role puts you at the financial helm of one of the most consequential programs in modern defense.
Per Anduril's expansion plans, we anticipate this job will be based out of Long Beach, CA beginning late 2027.
