Job summary

City of Huntington, WV seeks a Finance Director with demonstrated leadership and strong knowledge of municipal finance, budgeting, and internal controls. A minimum of five years in progressive public or private sector finance work is preferred, with a bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, finance, or accounting.

A valid driver’s license is required. Salary range is $94,882-$105,463 with excellent fringe benefits.

Job description

Finance Director for City of Huntington, WV. Requires individual with demonstrated leadership and management ability; comprehensive knowledge of municipal finance and budgeting and internal control procedures.

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible public or private sector finance work preferable.

The City has approximately 380 full and part-time employees with an annual operating budget of $87 million. It is located along the banks of the Ohio River, spanning approximately 18 square miles and has a population of approximately 45,000 with culturally and economically diverse residents.
