SkyWater Search Partners is excited to be retained by our client, a national services company, to find a Finance Director for one of its largest divisions. This division has experienced significant growth through both organic expansion and acquisitions. As the company continues to grow, we’re seeking a Finance Director to support this expansion by leveraging technology for data analysis and driving strategic business decisions through financial insights. The ideal candidate will be curious, a strategic thinker, proactive, and innovative. This position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with an in-office setting and flexible work-from-home arrangements.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provide timely financial insights to support decision-making and business transformation. Forecast trends, identify growth opportunities, and establish long-term financial plans.
2. Business Partnership: Act as a trusted financial advisor to business leaders, offering strategic insights. Partner with sales leadership to enhance processes and data utilization for organic growth. Collaborate across teams to improve operational efficiency and evaluate investment opportunities based on ROI.
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Analyze financial data to assess performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements. Prepare clear reports for non-financial stakeholders. Manage large data sets and deliver insightful analysis and presentations.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the divisional budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor performance, and suggest corrective actions to meet financial targets.
5. Excel Skills: Proficient in advanced Excel functions including pivot tables, macros, financial modeling, and data analysis techniques.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of presenting complex data clearly and influencing decision-making.
7. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Support audit processes and ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in FP&A
