Job summary

Ericsson Data Science & Automation Internship in Plano, TX, offers hands-on experience across Finance, Accounting, and Operations. You will build data pipelines using SQL and Python, develop AI-driven insights, and create Power BI dashboards to support decision-making in a fast-paced telecom setting.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, enhance data governance, and contribute to PEC-like analyses and reporting modernization during a 12-week summer program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong academic record and/or relevant internship, project, or research experience in finance, analytics, data, or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI (or similar BI/reporting tools).
• Exposure to AI/ML, predictive analytics, automation, or Generative AI is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms, APIs, Power Query, DAX, Azure, Fabric, or Databricks is desirable but not required.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data quality, data modeling, and reporting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines using SQL, Python, and automation tools.
• Improve data quality, governance, documentation, reporting standards, and metric definitions.
• Participating in discussion with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to generate predictive and actionable insights.
• Develop AI agents and automation solutions to streamline reporting and decision support.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy, and business performance through data-driven innovation.
• Build financial models, forecasts, and business cases to support decision-making.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and self-service analytics to drive business insights.
• Prepare executive-ready insights, presentations, and recommendations for finance leadership.
