Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City is seeking a Data Platform Product Manager to define requirements and roadmap for our finance data platform. You will partner with Technology to deliver scalable data management solutions and lead day-to-day delivery in an Agile SDLC.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in technology or finance, strong data governance and SQL skills, and experience with cloud-based big-data platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a technically related field.
8+ years in technology, data management, product management or finance within financial services.
Experience with cloud-based big-data platforms and data management concepts (ETL/ELT, governance, data catalog).
Strong SQL knowledge and ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
Excellent communication and ability to work across multiple levels of the firm.

Responsibilities

Partner with Technology to modernize the finance data platform and establish data onboarding, quality, governance, monitoring, distribution and analytics capabilities.
Analyze customer needs and prioritize features to meet those needs.
Document requirements and lead backlog refinement by breaking Epics into user stories.
Provide timely reporting and updates to project stakeholders and manage shifting priorities.
Identify process improvements and drive change management for the data platform.
Work with stakeholders to understand data/ process/ platform requirements and deliver data services promptly.
Leverage analytics skills to support testing; operate within an Agile framework.
