Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking a Principal, Finance Data Governance & Strategy who will own the data foundation for Finance modernization, governance, and AI-enabled testing. You will partner across Finance, Technology, and Security to ensure data definitions, lineage, and controls are built into ERP and planning platforms.

The role emphasizes scaling governance, setting policy, and leading capabilities like synthetic data for safe model development in a controls-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data governance, data strategy, or data architecture, including 2–3 years at principal/strategic level.
• Standing up or scaling a data governance and stewardship program.
• Experience governing data through large legacy-to-cloud migrations with focus on lineage, ownership, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own Finance data governance framework and data definitions across Finance data domains.
• Build data lineage and map Finance sources, systems, and transformations.
• Embed governance in platform modernization for ERP and planning platform migration.
• Lead synthetic data strategy for testing, development and analytics.
• Design controls with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Security for SOX/privacy.
• Represent Finance in enterprise data strategy and governance forums.
• Shape the roadmap for Finance data capability maturity and emerging capabilities.
