Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a technically skilled Accounting and Data Analyst / Process Designer to support the Senior Controller with data analytics, financial reporting, and automation of processes. This role combines accounting duties with the design and implementation of analytical tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, exceptions, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support management decision-making.
• Assist with automating manual processes and improving the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations and investigate differences.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain documentation and support records for accounting transactions.
