Job summary

State Street is seeking a Finance AI/Data Analytics professional to design agentic AI & Copilot solutions for finance processes, ensuring human oversight and regulatory alignment.

You will combine AI reasoning with deterministic rules, build finance-focused prompts, and apply data science methods to improve insights, controls, and efficiency. The role emphasizes no-code/low-code platforms and robust governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in AI, data analytics, CS, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in emerging AI technologies, data science, analytics, automation (financial services preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiar with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL concepts.
• Exposure to automation tools (low-code/no-code platforms, RPA, workflow tools).
• Understanding of Finance, Risk and/or Treasury processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic AI & Copilot solutions for Finance across workflows with human oversight and controls.
• Implement LLM copilots for finance narratives, variance explanations, exception triage, and root-cause analysis.
• Combine AI reasoning with deterministic rules and accounting constraints for reliability.
• Prompt engineering & context design grounded in finance (P&L, cost centers, materiality) and outputs for decision-making.
• Create reusable prompt patterns and guardrails to reduce hallucinations and ensure consistency.
• Apply data science methods (anomaly detection, classification, forecasting, explainability) to strengthen finance insights.
• Enable AI using no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Power Platform) to operationalize AI outputs.
• Orchestrate AI-driven steps with rules-based logic and surface insights to end users.
• Responsible AI & controls-aware delivery with explainability and auditability.
• Regulatory alignment and data governance & controls to support BCBS 239 and reporting.
