ProPublica, an independent nonprofit newsroom, is seeking a Finance Coordinator for its New York City headquarters. The role supports accounts payable, payroll data entry, expense reimbursements and corporate card reporting within a growing $65M operating budget.
You will be the primary staff and vendor contact for finance systems, coordinating with HR on payroll and new hires while reporting to the payroll and accounting manager. Remote work is not available.

ProPublica is seeking candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a customer service mindset to join the New York City headquarters as a finance coordinator.
This full-time position will be part of a five-person accounting and finance team responsible for a growing annual operating budget of more than $65 million. The finance coordinator is responsible for supporting, coordinating and processing accounts payable activities, payroll data entry, employee expense reimbursements, corporate credit card reporting and electronic banking transactions.
This role serves as a key point of contact for all staff and vendors for successfully navigating and using a constellation of finance systems, and coordinates closely with human resources on payroll processing, including new hires, terminations and compensation changes. This role will report to the payroll and accounting manager.

This role is full time and includes benefits . It is based at ProPublica’s headquarters in New York and requires at least two days of in-office work weekly that may increase as work demands require. We are not open to remote candidates. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
This job is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with The NewsGuild of New York, Local 31003, CWA, AFL-CIO.
The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000.
