Job summary

Truist Plaza in Atlanta hosts a role focused on quality assured financial reporting for the line of business. The Senior Financial Analyst works on management reporting, FRM, and accounting controls, coordinating with corporate policy teams and ensuring accuracy in monthly close processes.

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of experience, with strong communication and analytical skills; CPA and FINRA experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Ability to take direction and then work independently to complete tasks while considering broader implications or necessary additional analysis.
• Ability to build consensus through communication and presentation of factual and relevant information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Sound and logical decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work well with others in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Applies comprehensive understanding of how the organization operates to solve issues that have accounting and financial reporting implications.
• Provides accounting guidance and support to ensure new products or transactions are accounted for correctly and risks are identified.
• Preparation/review of reporting and analyses of monthly results in support of the closing process and review of financial results.
• Subject matter expert in data queries for value‑added management reporting.
• Account level variance analysis to support month‑end close and interpret variances.
• Prepare/review standard and enhanced reports and ad hoc analytics for financial results.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, policies, and controls in processes relevant to the LOB.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC and regulatory disclosures.
