Job summary

JPMorganChase in Newark, DE seeks an Analyst in Consumer and Community Banking Financial Control to ensure accuracy and timeliness of books and records across GL, systems and infrastructure. You will support month-end close and substantiation, with emphasis on risk controls and governance.

Responsibilities include validating ledgers, improving control frameworks, and partnering with risk and front office teams to resolve issues and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Proficiency with desktop, spreadsheet and database tools.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of securities and derivatives products.
• Comfortable liaising with business and risk managers.
• Ability to build partnerships across product teams and finance groups.
• Ability to understand drivers and influence front/middle office partners.
• Strong analytical skills to understand GL and systems interdependencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a changing environment.
• Ability to critically challenge to identify control issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and validity of line-of-business general ledger accounts per GLRS.
• Ensure adherence to P&L and Balance Sheet controls and drive efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve material variances between GL and upstream systems.
