Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Extensive hands-on QuickBooks experience required: GL management, bank reconciliations, reporting, month-end close.
• Senior-level experience in accounting/finance, with reporting, operations, and leadership capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, GL activities, and monthly/year-end close.
• Manage QuickBooks transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial performance metrics.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies for compliance.
• Oversee AP/AR, billing, collections, expense management, and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results, identify variances, and advise leadership on profitability improvements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.
• Identify process improvements to streamline workflows and reporting.

Work Arrangement / Work Shift:

Remote | Full-Time | 8AM to 5PM EST

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing end-to-end financial processes, improving accounting workflows, and providing actionable financial insights to leadership. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while maintaining accounting systems to support business objectives. Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is a plus, particularly for candidates with experience in financial systems, reporting, and process optimization.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing, and the preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
• QuickBooks Management: Utilize extensive hands-on QuickBooks experience to manage accounting transactions, maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, and generate financial reports.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial performance metrics to support business planning and decision-making.
• Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain effective financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, expense management, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial results, identify variances and trends, assess financial risks, and provide recommendations to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance.
• Audit and Tax Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other relevant stakeholders to support audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, improve reporting accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
• ERP and Accounting Systems: Maintain and optimize accounting systems and workflows. Familiarity with NetSuite ERP, including its financial management and reporting capabilities, is an advantage.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior management and relevant departments to provide financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment between financial objectives and business operations.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to accounting or finance personnel, review work for accuracy, and promote consistent application of accounting policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks is required, including general ledger management, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
• Significant experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, and financial operations, preferably in a senior accounting or financial management capacity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to manage financial reporting cycles, analyze financial performance, and provide meaningful insights to business leadership.
• Experience overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting activities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience with accounting process improvements, financial controls, and accounting system optimization.

What Will Set You Apart:

• NetSuite ERP knowledge or familiarity, particularly in general ledger, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and financial management modules.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as CPA or equivalent.
