Job summary

The Division of Transportation Solutions (DOTS) seeks a Fiscal Associate II to support complex auditing and accounting functions for Traffic projects in Delaware. The role focuses on ensuring proper funding, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records in FSF with strict compliance to state and federal rules.

Primary duties include preparing reports, paying invoices, and handling payroll-related entries while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Six months' experience in processing accounting, auditing or payroll transactions as per applicable laws, rules and procedures.
• Six months' experience in determining compliance of financial transactions with required documentation, computations, codes, signatures, rules or regulations.
• Six months’ experience in preparing financial reports by combining data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Review forms and source documents to complete purchase orders with accuracy and compliance.
• Verify or determine correct classification and coding of transactions.
• Enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve and report data using automated information systems.
• Create and maintain financial records, documents and files.
• Prepare reports and summaries on the status of accounts or financial data.
• Assist in payroll entries and payroll processing in automated systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers and the public.
