The Finance Co-Op role supports the finance team at a fast-paced manufacturing facility by assisting with financial reporting, month-end close activities, and operational analysis, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting while working with finance and plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Accounting or Business full-time.
• Sophomore or Junior standing preferred.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during the academic year with a structured but flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily manufacturing performance reports (sales, production, scrap, inventory, and key operational metrics).
• Assist with operational reporting, scrap revenue reporting, and financial analysis.
• Verify General Ledger activity agrees with supporting subledgers, including Sales and Accounts Receivable.
• Perform supplier reconciliations and investigate account variances.
• Assist with monthly close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support financial reporting, variance analysis, and audit documentation.
• Code and submit invoices for processing and prepare monthly procurement/fuel card reconciliations.
• Assist in resolving supplier payment discrepancies.
• Perform Layered Process Audits throughout the manufacturing facility.
