Job summary

Superior Construction is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the Billing, AR, Payroll, AP, Expenses, and PP&E teams while supporting the Controller on month-end closes. You will tie financial statement line-items to ledgers and cost reports, manage audits, and provide analyses for executive decision making.

The role requires CPA/CCIFP and construction experience. This is a full-time exempt position in Jacksonville, FL, with responsibilities across finance and accounting functions and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance is required.
• CPA or CCIFP certification is preferred.
• 1–2 years of construction experience with Percentage of Completion accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead a team of 2–3 financial and accounting analysts
• Assist the Controller in leading Payroll, AR, Expenses, AP and PP&E
• Tie financial statement line-items to general ledger and cost reports
• Manage the financial statement audit
• Prepare analysis for executive decision making on operations
• Support accounting and FP&A close tasks
• Perform account reconciliations
• Book monthly activity for related entities
• Assist with financing strategies
