JOB SUMMARY

To provide thorough and accurate financial processing for Nixyáawii Community Financial Services (NCFS) under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Will provide financial staff support to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Loan Committee in compliance with the Fiscal Management Policies, Team Member Handbook and existing Board and Committee procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Maintain confidentiality of all data, transactions, etc. both internally, as applicable, and always externally. Financial and accounting processes are both proprietary and sensitive information and must always be treated as such.
  2. Screen and process procurement requests, internal Purchase Requisitions, W-9 review, and new vendor setup in compliance with the NCFS Fiscal Management Policies.
  3. Screen, track and process incoming invoices for payment, ensuring all procurement processes are in place.
  4. Receive, enter, and maintain billing requests, including recording non-lending payments.
  5. Monitor eligibility for paid time off, timesheet completeness and send notifications to supervisors when further attention is needed, complying with NCFS Team Member Handbook.
  6. Maintain calendars to coordinate financial tasks and report due dates ensuring adequate preparation time is provided.
  7. Ensure all financial records, including electronic files, are complete, well organized, and audit ready at all times.
  8. Coordinate NCFS financial project needs, document requests, application support, and team communications with the CFO and other internal staff as assigned.
  9. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma, or GED; AND One (1) year proven work experience in an Administrative or Financial position with similar essential functions.
  2. Work history demonstrates strong work ethics, excellent organizational skills, and attendance record.
  3. Proficiency with computer use and Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  4. Hands-on experience with office equipment (copier, phone, 10-key, and such).
  5. Flexible schedule to meet financial schedules at part-time capacity.
  6. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meet insurance requirements.
  7. Must pass a criminal and financial background check as well as a preemployment drug test.

  1. Professional attitude: demonstrates ability to be resourceful and proactive to issues as they arise in a professional manner.
  2. The ability and willingness to conduct assigned duties in an efficient and timely manner with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects and due dates, and work within defined timelines.
  3. Effective communication skills; basic, clear, and accurate information in-person, over the phone and in writing (including email).
  4. The ability and willingness to travel when needed (infrequent).
  5. Knowledge of Native American culture and history.
