Job summary

MillTown Plumbing & Heating Inc. is seeking a full-time accounting professional to manage revenues, postings, and receivables for our growing service team in Chelmsford, MA. The role offers paid training, educational reimbursements, and comprehensive benefits.

You will post invoices, receipts, and weekly revenues, maintain meticulous records, and investigate discrepancies while upholding confidentiality. Strong communication and organization are required to succeed in a customer-focused

Qualifications

• Thoroughness and organizational skills are essential for accurate record-keeping.
• Strong analytical abilities to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies.
• Solid accounting knowledge and experience using QuickBooks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from invoices and/or dispatch software.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Update receivables and collect on unpaid invoices.
• Maintain records.
• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments, and from customers.
• Protect company value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Participate actively in all formal exercises and on-the-job training.
• Additional duties as needed.

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
