Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Finance & Business Intern to contribute to proposal development, cost analysis, and process improvements across our Denver, Cape Canaveral, and Decatur sites.

Gain hands-on experience in finance, accounting, and business operations, shadow experienced professionals, and complete projects that support aerospace programs during a 10-week summer internship in 2027. Applicants must be actively pursuing a degree with a 3.0+ GPA and be available full-time.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Must be enrolled Fall 2027 for classes during the internship period.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
• Must have valid driver's license in required locations.

Responsibilities

Job Overview & Responsibilities

As a Finance & Business Intern at United Launch Alliance you'll gain hands‑on experience and will have the opportunity to:

• Support proposal development for future launches.
• Streamline processes.
• Audit internal functions to ensure the continued health of our company.
• Analyze cost trends to plan resource needs and decrease future costs.
• Support one or more experienced business professionals in performing assignments, learning about daily operations through shadowing opportunities, and performing projects while experiencing the daily workings of the business functions critical to the aerospace industry.

Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!

Required Education

• At minimum completed Junioryear of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
• High School/GED

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. NOTE: An unofficial transcript is required if you are invited for an interview.
• Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.

Role Specific Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or relevant field from an accredited college or university.
• Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
• Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the Summer of 2027.
• Basic understanding of business management, finance and/or accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:
  • Denver, CO
  • Cape Canaveral, FL
  • Decatur, AL

Summary Salary Range

CO: $23.10 - $37.95

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
