Job summary

Watlow in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join our IT organization. You’ll bridge Finance and IT, translating business needs into Oracle ERP solutions and guiding system improvements across the finance function.

In this high-impact role you’ll partner with finance stakeholders, implement data validation, and support rollout activities from testing through hypercare, ensuring accurate financial reporting and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IS, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of finance processes: R2R, P2P, O2C, fixed assets, tax, intercompany, month-end close.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand needs, gaps, and requests.
• Support Oracle Fusion Finance modules and related processes.
• Triage issues, assist with month-end close, and coordinate resolutions.
• Translate requirements into specs, configurations, tests, and acceptance criteria.

In this position you will partner closely with Finance business users, IT application teams, implementation partners, and AMS teams to keep our finance processes running smoothly and continuously improving. This is not a back-office support role. You will be the bridge between Finance and IT, translating real business needs into system solutions, resolving production issues before they become bigger problems, and helping guide critical ERP rollout activities from testing through hypercare. What You’ll Do

• Business Partnering: Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, process gaps, and enhancement requests.
• Oracle Fusion Finance Support: Support Oracle Fusion Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting, Tax, Intercompany, and Projects/PPM as applicable.
• Issue Resolution & Month-End Support: Assist with month-end close support, issue triage, and reconciliation questions, and analyze ServiceNow/Jira tickets to classify issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with AMS or implementation partners.
• Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into functional specifications, configuration requests, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• ERP Rollout & Stabilization: Support ERP rollout activities including data validation, mock conversion, UAT, training, cutover, hypercare, and transition to steady state.
• Reporting & Validation: Work with Finance users to validate reports, reconciliations, integrations, and key financial outputs.
• Prioritization & Governance: Support prioritization of finance enhancements based on business value, compliance needs, operational impact, and available capacity, and participate in governance meetings including backlog reviews, M1/M2/M3 reviews, CAB discussions, and finance readiness checkpoints.
• Technical Coordination & Documentation: Coordinate with technical teams on integrations, reporting, data conversion, workflow, and security-related finance requirements, and create and maintain process documentation, test scripts, training materials, and issue logs.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues and recommend process, training, configuration, or support model improvements.

What you´ll need to succeed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Finance Analyst, ERP Functional Analyst, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Finance or a comparable ERP finance platform
• Strong understanding of finance business processes including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, fixed assets, tax, intercompany, and month-end close
• Ability to work effectively with business users, IT teams, vendors, and offshore support teams
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Fusion Finance experience in a manufacturing or global enterprise environment
• Experience with data conversion, reconciliation, UAT, cutover, and hypercare
• Familiarity with EPM/Planning, Projects/PPM, integrations, workflow approvals, and role/security testing
• Understanding of SOX, audit, access controls, and finance compliance requirements
• Experience working with AMS partners and structured support governance
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Power BI, Excel, or other reporting platforms
