Job summary

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP is seeking a Coordinator for Business Development to support the Finance practice. You will work with partners and lawyers to develop and implement client development initiatives, manage pitches and RFPs, and coordinate marketing materials and events.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in legal marketing or BD, strong communication, and project management skills, with proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and disciplined process approach.
• Demonstrated accountability and ownership of workstreams and deliverables.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
• Working knowledge of transactional practice areas; finance experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel).
• Experience with CRM and external research platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and coordination of targeted client presentations, pitches, and RFP responses.
• Draft and coordinate legal directory submissions and awards (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR).
• Assist with league table submissions and data mining improvements.
• Maintain print and digital marketing materials reflecting the practice's strengths and activities.
• Update matter and experience databases for precedent, marketing, and BD purposes.
• Monitor market activity within the Finance space and prepare competitive analyses.
• Plan and execute conferences, sponsorships, client events, and industry galas.
• Collaborate with Public Relations and Marketing to promote the Finance practice.
