Job summary

Landing Point seeks a Finance Associate to support accounting and reporting for a diverse real estate portfolio. You will track weekly cash activity, analyze funds cash availability, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely cash movements and reconciliations.

You will work with the outsourced accounting group, review monthly expenses, and assist in annual budgeting and audit/tax deliverables, leveraging strong Excel and IT tool skills to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar major.
• Entry-level to 2 years of relevant experience preferred; Big 4 or real estate investment management preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Interest in process improvement and IT tools/AI.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and coordinate weekly cash activity including capital calls and distributions.
• Perform weekly cash availability analysis across multiple Funds and evaluate loan drawdowns.
• Coordinate with Finance and other departments to ensure timely cash movements and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with outsourced accounting group and fund administrator on cash procedures and bank fee calculations.
• Review workpapers for monthly interest expense and aid in quarterly workpapers.
• Support annual property operating budget process and assist with audit/tax deliverables.

Company Overview:

A leading global private investment firm with approximately $185 billion in assets under management is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Real Estate Finance team. The role involves supporting accounting and reporting functions for a diverse portfolio of direct real estate investments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Track, analyze, and coordinate weekly cash activity, such as processing capital calls and distributions
• Perform weekly cash availability analysis across multiple Funds, including evaluating loan drawdowns and repayments
• Coordinate with multiple Finance team members and other departments to ensure timely cash movements and weekly reconciliations
• Coordinate with the outsourced accounting group and fund administrator on cash procedures, cash tracking, and bank fee & interest calculations
• Review supporting workpapers for monthly interest expense/bank fees and assist in the preparation of quarterly workpapers
• Support team members with annual property operating budget process
• Provide assistance with interim & year-end audit/tax deliverables
• Collaborate with Finance team members on ad hoc projects to enhance departmental and firm products

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar major
• Entry-level to 2 years of relevant experience preferred, with preference for Big 4 public accounting or real estate investment management experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated interest in process improvement, including use of IT tools and AI
• Experience in Yardi is preferred, but not required

Compensation:

Salary: $80,000 – $85,000, Plus Bonus
