Job summary

An Am Law 100 firm in Atlanta is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Business Finance Practice Group. The position targets a junior attorney with 1 to 4 years of experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in commercial finance transactions and an interest in building a broad-based finance practice with substantial client exposure.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
1–4 years of relevant finance experience at a law firm.
Experience with commercial lending and secured finance transactions.
Familiarity with Article 9 of the UCC.
Exposure to syndicated lending or middle‑market finance transactions preferred.
Workout and restructuring experience is a plus.
Strong academic credentials and writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Georgia bar admission or ability to obtain admission promptly.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on syndicated lending, middle‑market financings and secured lending matters.
Work on borrower and lender representations in complex financing transactions.
Develop a broad-based finance practice with significant client exposure and responsibility.
Assist with workout and restructuring matters and other general commercial lending transactions.
