Job summary

Whitecap Search is seeking a dedicated finance professional to join our team in New York. The role supports management and staff in preparing and presenting financial reports, automating processes, and handling ad-hoc projects.

You will prepare journal entries, perform intercompany eliminations, and help maintain strong internal controls. A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years' experience in financial reporting are required, CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Eligible to work in the US.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting or related areas.
• CPA or professional certification preferred.
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and assigned reports accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform intercompany eliminations and create consolidated financial statements.
• Support the maintenance of strong internal controls within the team to ensure sound practices and meet the expectations of management, internal/external auditors, and examiners.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects within the finance area.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting requirements and provide solutions to changes in requirements and other related matters.
• Address other relevant issues that may arise on an ad-hoc basis.
