Job summary

Qualifications

  • Enter performance tracking data for production analysis and efficiency metrics.

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will help sustain Mennel’s tradition of excellence established in 1885 as well as support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver superior quality, uniformity, and service. The purpose of this position is to complete tasks in the following functional areas: accounts receivable reconciliation, site vendor certification management, productivity reporting, direct material inventory controls and all financial policy compliance. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.

PRIMARY WORK SHIFT:

Works shift as assigned and overtime as required

Monday through Friday; 8AM. - 4PM. Will vary depending on workload.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation.

  • Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP’s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
  • Complete daily review of inventory comparison reports. Investigate discrepancies and request proper adjustments when needed for inventory accuracy.
  • Gather and enter performance tracking data into collection system for production analysis such as reliability and productivity. (e.g. waste loss, down time, failures, capacity)
  • Coordinate approvals and reconciles scrap detail for materials, ingredients, bags, etc. (e.g. quality notifications, damage, etc.)
  • Performs the reconciliation of daily shipments made from plant with payments submitted by customers and reports weekly to corporate.
  • Assists with month end processing at period close as needed.
  • Submit new vendor request and changes to purchasing system administrator.
  • Manage Vendor Site Compliance: Insurance Certificates/Workers Compensation and Confidentiality agreements.
  • Maintains daily communications board for plant notifications and updates.
  • Coordinates quarterly and year end PR Inventory counts.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; a2-year college degree or technical school course work.
  • Minimum of three years of job-related experience, preferably in a finance department; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite), computer hardware and computer servers.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans. Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers, supervisors, and managers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Must use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.
