Job summary

The University of South Florida is seeking an Applications Developer I for the Muma College of Business (Finance) team to help develop and maintain reports and web applications that support academic coordination across the college.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Financial Management, the role applies technical knowledge to plan, develop, update, and maintain websites, web apps, databases, and servers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of fiscal‑support experience.
• College coursework may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Strong fundamentals in web development and reporting using SQL and Power BI are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains web applications to meet requirements and current professional standards. Debugs, refactors, and maintains existing code. Applies updates to website content.
• Develops effective reporting tools needed to support the business unit's information requirements using SQL and appropriate visualization tools (such as Microsoft Power BI). Debugs, refactors, and maintains existing reports.
• Gathers, documents, and analyzes specifications and requirements for use during development.
• Designs, implements, and maintains relational databases to support applications and reporting needs.
• Assists with maintaining and supporting server and database environments. Deploys changes to test and production environments when appropriate.
