Job summary

VC Lab is building a scalable finance function in a fast-growing fintech startup. This role covers day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, payroll, HR collaboration, and governance, with remote eligibility for US-based candidates (preferably Bay Area).

You will partner with venture capital activities and leadership to support rapid growth and compliance across state and federal levels. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in finance, strong modeling ability, and excellent communication, ready

Qualifications

• 5+ years in finance including accounting, FP&A and systems
• Experience in a rapidly scaling fintech environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Track record of success working with cross functional teams
• Background in financial modeling and projections
• Pro user of Excel and Google Sheets and experience with modern finance stack
• Understanding of the nuances of accounting with startup investing
• Proactive attitude to tackle any opportunity or challenge
• Skills to create and leverage logical solutions to complex problems
• Detail-oriented and analytical nature
• Able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks; strong organizational and time management skills are required
• Nice to have: interest and experience in venture capital industry

We are working to launch 1,000 next-generation venture capital firms by 2025, changing the face of venture capital. We run the leading venture capital accelerator worldwide and operate the Decile Hub fund platform, reducing the barriers of entry for next generation investors to launch and grow meaningful early-stage investment firms.

We are hiring a Finance and Human Roles role to manage and optimize the finance function. You will be responsible for day to day operational finance, working collaboratively with venture capital fund accounting and finance, and laying the foundation for scaling of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience within a high growth fintech startup and interest or experience in the venture capital industry.
