Job summary

NeoMed Center, Inc. is seeking a Finance and Grants Management Officer to support financial, accounting, and compliance processes for grants, contracts, and institutional funds at our Puerto Rico location.

Responsibilities include managing grant accounting, preparing reconciliations, and producing financial reports. The role requires 3+ years in accounting, experience with Sage 100, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of related work experience in accounting, fund management, grants, financial reporting, or auditing.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (oral and written).
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems.

• Prepare adjustments to ensure accurate monthly closings and regulatory compliance.
• Use Sage 100 or financial ERP for records, analysis, account maintenance, and reporting.
• Review invoices, payments, and documentation related to funds and grants.
• Monitor compliance of grants and post-award contracts.
• Support financial management of construction and capital projects, including budgets, disbursements, and closings.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis and management reports.
• Support audits and regulatory reporting.

Job Summary

The Finance and Grants Management Officer is responsible for supporting the financial, accounting, and compliance processes related to grants, federal, state, and private funds, construction projects, property, plant, and equipment, management reporting, special audits, and financial analysis of NeoMed Center, Inc. Its main focus will be to ensure the proper recording, coding, reconciliation, monitoring and analysis of transactions related to funds, special programmes and institutional projects.

Position Activities

• Manage the accounting and financial management of grants, donations, contracts, and institutional funds.
• Perform accounting reconciliations and prepare adjustments to ensure accurate monthly closings and regulatory compliance.
• Use Sage 100 or financial ERP for records, analysis, account maintenance, and reporting.
• Review, code, and reconcile invoices, payments, and documentation related to funds and special projects.
• Monitor financial and administrative compliance of grants and post-award contracts.
• Support the financial management of construction and capital projects, including budgets, disbursements, and closings.
• Analyze and reconcile accounts related to fixed assets, amortizations, prepayments, and construction-in-progress.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analysis and management reports.
• Support financial, compliance and specialized program audits.
• Participate in the preparation and analysis of UDS reports and other regulatory reports.
• Prepare financial projections, analysis of costs, profitability and financial scenarios.
• Analyze financial information related to Plan Vital, Managed Care, and health programs.
• To monitor and give visibility to the financial performance of grants, projects and special programs.
• Collaborate in the preparation of proposals, budgets and budget modifications.
• Support asset inventories and controls related to funds and grants.
• Provide analyses, reconciliations, and financial reports requested by the Finance Department.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and/or related discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in accounting, fund management, grants, reconciliations, financial reporting, auditing, financial analysis, or related areas.
• Experiencedesirable in the healthcare industry (preferred but not required)

Additional Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (oral and written).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, data cleansing), as well as Word and Outlook. Ability to manage emails, calendars and formal documentation.
• Working knowledge of accounting platforms such as Sage 100 and other financial ERP.
