Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Finance Analyst in Omaha to support project accounting and forecasting activities. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and human capital management within a project-driven environment.

You will assist in month-end close and prepare financial reports for project management, gaining exposure to labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract cost components across North America.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years' financial/data analysis experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent degree
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
• Previous internship experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Pivot Tables and V-Lookups preferred

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of teamwork and supports project needs
• Fosters relationships with the Operations team and learns the work
• Understands payroll and HR process workflow and related systems
• Maintains purchasing workflow internal controls and cost review
• Assists with accounts payable/receivable processes and issue resolution
• Supports intercompany and client billing documentation and cash management
• Ensures cost and cost adjustments meet accounting standards
• Reviews forecast and budget reports and corrects discrepancies
• Contributes to month-end close and financial reporting
• Maintains organized work environment and effective time management
• Complies with Corporate Compliance Program and EEO/labor laws
