Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Operational Finance professional to contribute to the business management of large-scale projects and participate in forecasting and accounting practices. The role supports project controls, cost reporting, and timely billing while building a foundation in corporate finance within the Power Market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Ability to travel/relocate as required.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook; experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to identify discrepancies.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of being a team player and supports project needs.
• Fosters relationships with the Operations team and learns the work.
• Understands payroll and HR process workflow and uses systems to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees.
• Maintains purchasing workflow controls and processes.
• Resolves vendor and payment issues in accounts payable.
• Manages intercompany and client billing documentation and timeliness.
• Reviews costs, budgeting, and reporting for accuracy.
• Identifies forecast/budget issues and adjusts as needed.
