Job summary

Reyes Holdings seeks a Staff Accountant in Puerto Rico to manage General Ledger entries, payables and receivables, and generate financial reports in compliance with accounting standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with 2+ years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with 2 plus years of related experience.
• 3-5 years in accounting or finance roles is preferred with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and proficiency in data entry.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) with knowledge of basic formulas and pivot tables.
• Attention to Detail and strong analytical skills for accurate financial reporting.
• Technical proficiency in accounting software and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Communication skills to convey financial information to stakeholders.
• Problem-solving to identify issues and implement effective solutions in financial processes.
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate KPIs and operational efficiency.
• Prepare analytical reports and dashboards.
• Preparing Trade Working Capital by Customer.
• Support Budgeting and forecasting.
• Perform three-way match for PO invoices and process payments for non-PO invoices in automated workflow.
• Review all invoices and identify taxable charges, assess proper tax use.
• Assure documentation gathering for tax audits as needed.
• Prepare analysis of accounts/statements, reconcile payments, and ensure payments are up to date.
• Research invoice discrepancies and correspond with vendors/Distribution Centers for documentation.
• Maintain Vendor Address Book records.
• Assist in maintaining SOPs for all responsibilities.
• Participate in strategic projects and team meetings.
• Identify process improvements in payables/receivables and budget variances.
• Other projects or duties as assigned
