Job summary

Motion Recruitment is assisting a client in Red Oak, TX with hiring a Financial Analyst for a hybrid role. The position will be a 3-month W2 contract onsite four days a week and involves delivering manufacturing finance reports, analyzing cost drivers, and supporting Plant Controller with timely insights.

You will work to identify cost trends, coordinate with operations, and help automate reporting processes using advanced Excel and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or plant finance.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and experience working with BI reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to reconcile data across multiple sources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver manufacturing finance reports, including WIP, inventory transactions, material usage variance and PPV.
• Prepare the Analysis of Change (AOC) to explain period-over-period movements in plant performance and identify key cost drivers.
• Flag cost anomalies, trends, and data errors early with next steps for the Controller and Operations leadership.
• Partner cross-functionally with neighboring teams while simplifying and automating recurring reporting workflows.

Our client, a leader in electrical & industrial manufacturing, is looking to hire a Financial Analyst in Red Oak, TX. This is a hybrid role and requires 4 days a week onsite.

As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Plant Controller in delivering accurate, timely manufacturing finance reporting, monitoring factory costs, and turning transactional data into clear explanations of operational cost drivers.
