Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Sr Finance Analyst / Accountant for its facility in northern Ohio. This on-site role requires a strong background in accounting and financial analysis within a manufacturing setting.

The position supports GAAP-compliant reporting, cost analysis, and plant-level financial operations. You will partner with Plant Controller and leadership to analyze results, manage month-end close, and ensure accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or cost accounting.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statements.
• ERP systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results including variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Support month-end close activities with journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations.
• Perform GL reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with standard cost updates, cost analysis, and inventory-related reporting.
• Support budgeting/forecast processes with analysis and schedules.
• Analyze labor, overhead, and materials costs to provide cost-driver insights.
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and depreciation schedules as assigned.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and internal controls.

Large manufacturing company is looking for a Sr Finance Analyst / Accountant for their facility in northern OH

Purpose ~

Responsible for all aspects of the financial processes including finance controls, general ledger and fixed asset

Responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting, analysis, and accounting activities at the plant level.

This position performs detailed financial analysis, account reconciliations, and operational reporting while ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate procedures.

The role is operationally focused and partners closely with the Plant Controller and plant leadership

Essential Duties ~

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations under the direction of the Plant Controller.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist with standard cost updates, cost analysis, and inventory-related financial reporting in coordination with Materials and Operations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing analysis, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze labor, overhead, and material costs and provide insight on cost drivers and trends.
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting; prepare supporting documentation (no approval authority).
• Support fixed asset accounting activities including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and internal controls.

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or cost accounting
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statements
