Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial analysis by assisting in budgets, business plans, and evaluations. You will provide reports, data management and system support to drive accurate financial planning.

You will monitor budget processes, assist with GAAP-compliant analyses, stay informed on market trends, collaborate with global finance, and help optimize financial systems and lean initiatives. A CPA/CMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor annual budget processes and related forecasting.
• Assist with analytical work within the business units ensuring accuracy and documentation per GAAP.
• Stay up to date on industry and economic changes and trends.
• Assist in the resolution of operational and tactical issues.
• Assist IS with requests and projects related to financial systems.
• May monitor overhead expenses and help identify mismanagement of resources.
• Work with other global finance departments.
• May be responsible for lean initiatives.
• Monitor and answer questions regarding department programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to create and allocate budgets.
• Navigate and evaluate multiple systems containing financial information.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Job Objective

The Finance Analyst is an established performer that will support financial analysis objectives by assisting in the administration of sound financial procedures and processes. This role will assist with the preparation of budgets, business plans, and financial evaluations by providing reports and data management and system support.

Duties And Responsibilities Of The Position

• Monitor annual budget processes and related forecasting.
• Assist with analytical work performed within the business units ensuring accuracy and documentation in accordance with internal control, GAAP, and other agencies regulations.
• Stay up to date on the industry and economic changes and trends.
• Assist in the resolution of operational and tactical issues.
• Assist Information Systems with any requests and projects related to all financial systems.
• May monitor overhead expenses and help identify potential mismanagement of resources.
• Work with other global finance departments.
• May be responsible for lean initiatives.
• Monitor and answer questions regarding the department programs.
• Partners with other departments to assist in the creation and allocation of their budgets.
• Monitor, navigate, and evaluate multiple systems containing financial information.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Required Experience And Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Proficient in SAP.
• Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and Sarbanes-Oxley.
