Job summary

Cummins Mellor in Lancaster is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join their finance team. You’ll have a broad remit across finance, including cash management, VAT returns, general accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll support.

This is a permanent, full‑time role in a modern office. The successful candidate will be practical, reliable and proactive, with solid finance experience and good Excel/Office skills; a finance qualification is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Solid, practical finance experience.
• Comfortable with reconciliations, VAT and general finance processes.
• Organised and detail-oriented.
• Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Approachable and a reliable first point of contact.
• Enjoys variety and transactional finance tasks.
• Reliable, self-motivated and takes ownership.
