Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Principal Applied AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of next‑generation AI and predictive models that transform financial decision‑making at scale. You will work at the intersection of advanced machine learning, agentic AI, and software engineering, with a strong focus on production‑grade AI systems, intelligent automation, and predictive modeling.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic technical leader and hands‑on builder—capable of architecting complex AI

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science, software engineering, and AI engineering with production systems.
• Proven track record of building production AI systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in predictive modeling, including time series forecasting and churn modeling.
• Advanced Python proficiency and experience with ML/AI frameworks and system design.
• Hands-on with LLMs: prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluation.
• Cloud platforms (AWS), distributed systems, and MLOps practices.
• Experience with financial data and compliance-aware modeling.
• Strong API, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead agentic AI systems to automate finance workflows.
• Design multi-agent systems using LLMs, tool-use, and orchestration patterns.
• Translate research into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices.
• Design fault-tolerant, observable agent systems with recovery strategies.
• Lead predictive modeling across time series forecasting and customer behavior.
• Develop production-grade models and governance for model performance.
• Design scalable AI services with robust software engineering practices.
• Drive end-to-end development from concept to production and operations.
• Lead ML lifecycle, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and governance.
• Set technical direction and mentor data specialists; collaborate with finance/IT/product.
