Job summary

Genesys is seeking a Principal Applied AI Engineer to design and deliver next-generation AI systems for finance, blending machine learning, agentic AI, and software engineering. You will architect scalable AI services, drive production-grade modeling, and lead cross-functional teams across finance, IT, and product.

The role focuses on end-to-end development, MLOps, governance, and responsible AI, with exposure to a market-leading compensation structure and high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science, software engineering, and AI engineering with production systems.
• Proven track record building production AI systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in predictive modeling, time series forecasting, and churn modeling.
• Advanced Python proficiency and experience with ML/AI frameworks and system design.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead agentic AI systems that automate finance workflows.
• Design multi-agent systems using LLMs, tool usage frameworks, and orchestration patterns.
• Translate cutting-edge research in LLMs and agentic AI into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI practices for safe outputs.
• Design fault-tolerant, observable agent systems with clear failure modes and recovery strategies.
