Rakuten Travel, Japan’s largest online travel agency, invites a proactive finance professional to join its Hawaii market team. You will support local campaigns, manage cash flow, and help build an influential online travel brand in Honolulu.

The role requires legal US work authorization, English and Japanese fluency, hospitality experience, and a track record of delivering results in cross-cultural settings.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States (Hawaii).
• Business-level English and native-level Japanese proficiency.
• English requirement options: citizenship of an English-speaking country, degree from an English-speaking country, or high TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS scores.
• Minimum of 3 years' hospitality or related experience.
• Experience in a dynamic, multicultural environment with strong results.
• Proven self-motivated performance in travel or related industry.
• Able to work with minimal guidance and drive partnerships forward.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on end-to-end business opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Manage bank accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and verify incoming payments.
• Manage cash and various payment methods (checks, credit cards).
• Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP): perform sales reconciliation and debt collection.
• Process invoices, manage payables, register vendors, and execute payments.
• Assist with monthly closing and consolidated financial reporting.
• Prepare documents for tax filings and coordinate with accounting firms.
• Support audit processes and government inquiries.
• Handle internal inquiries and ad-hoc financial issues.

[Job Responsibilities]

Manage bank accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and verify incoming payments.

Manage cash and various payment methods (checks, credit cards).

Requirements :

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Hawaii).
• Business-level English and Native-level Japanese proficiency.
• English Requirements: Please meet one of the following criteria:
• Citizenship of an English-speaking country.
• Holder of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree from a university in an English-speaking country.
• TOEIC score of 800 or higher.
• TOEFL iBT score of 110 or higher.
• IELTS score of 7.0 or higher.
• Minimum of 3 years' working in hospitality or related.
• Experience working in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment with a track record of strong results.
• Proven track record of self-motivated performance and perseverance in travel or related industry.
• Able to work with minimal guidance and drive partnership opportunities forward.
• Strong attention to detail and have the ability to see the end game of each business opportunity.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (includes 1-hour lunch break)
