Latham & Watkins, a leading global law firm, seeks a Lead – Finance & Accounting Services in New York. You will support U.S. practice offices and Global Finance with accounting expertise, budgeting, and process improvements, using technology-enabled solutions.

Hybrid and in-office presence in NY is available. The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, CPA or candidate status, and at least 3 years of relevant experience; 5+ years cumulatively preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or other relevant professional certification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience; total 5+ years cumulatively.

Responsibilities

• Apply accounting principles, financial controls, and firm policies to review transactions and prepare analyses.
• Assist with annual budget processes, including inputs, variance analysis, and follow-up.
• Review and document finance processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities across offices.
• Participate in automation and technology initiatives (SharePoint, Power Platform) including requirements and testing.
• Use Excel and financial systems to analyze data and prepare management summaries.
• Protect confidential and sensitive financial information.
