Vaco is partnering with a growing private equity-backed organization to hire an Accounting and Finance Manager who will support operations across multiple portfolio companies. This role offers hands-on accounting experience plus exposure to strategic, Controller/CFO-level initiatives, with opportunities to collaborate with senior leadership and drive improvements across diverse businesses in Nashville.

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Public accounting or client services experience with mid-size companies highly preferred.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or healthcare experience a plus.
• CPA preferred.
• Hands-on, adaptable self-starter who enjoys both digging into the details and the bigger picture.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across portfolio companies.

Responsabilités

• Partner with leadership teams across multiple businesses to improve accounting and finance operations.
• Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, AP, payroll, and other hands-on accounting functions.
• Build and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting infrastructure.
• Assist with acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and audit preparation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
• Work directly with senior leadership on financial initiatives and operational improvements.
