Job summary

Blue Ops Partners seeks an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to lead client accounting operations, close cycles, and GAAP-compliant reporting. You will partner with private equity sponsors and portfolio leadership to deliver analytics, forecasting, and process improvements across multiple industries.

You will combine hands-on accounting expertise with strategic advisory duties, mentoring teams and expanding client relationships.

Qualifications

• Big 4 or public accounting experience strongly preferred; corporate leadership considered.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Undergraduate B.S. in Accounting & Finance; CPA/CFA/CMA preferred.
• Expertise in month-end close, technical accounting, financial reporting, audits.
• Exposure to FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee accounting operations for clients, including close cycles and internal controls.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, accurate accounting, and high-quality reporting.
• Serve as liaison between private equity sponsor and portfolio company leadership.
• Provide financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting in support of client objectives.
• Partner with technology teams on ERP/accounting system design and implementation.
• Act as key contact for executives, boards, and PE stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams.
• Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and services.
• Oversee cash management: payables, receivables, treasury, fixed assets, cash flow.
• Develop KPI tracking and operational reporting cadences.
